Graham’s making waves

The 71-year-old chair of Spalding Rotary Club has completed his first challenge in a fundraising triathlon swimming the equivalent width of the English Channel.
Graham Dawson has spent the last few months notching up the lengths to make up the 42 miles in the local pool.
He completed it recently and is now looking towards cycling for 1,000 miles and completing the Couch to 5K running challenge.
During his year as the chair he’s looking to raise funds for Breast Cancer Now.
“When we are fundraising, I feel it’s my duty to lead the way and set challenges that will help bring in funds for my chosen charities,” he said. “I am hoping to reach £2,000 by the end of the Rotary Year (June 2026) so please donate generously to these worthwhile causes.”
