Gosling hat-trick for Holbeach United Reserves in 9-2 Riverside romp

Holbeach United Reserves continued their great start to the ChromaSport Peterborough Premier Division season with a 9-2 win at Riverside.

Tom Gosling notched a hat-trick for Omar Joof’s side on Saturday, while Gary Chappell (2), Kieron Rose (2), Robbie Cundy and Pawel Madrejewak also got on the scoresheet.

The Tigers are still third in the standings, just three points behind pace-setters Moulton Harrox.

However, Crowland Town are now bottom after a 7-2 beating at Netherton United.

In Division One, Spalding United Reserves are third after they cruised to a 4-0 home victory over Netherton Reserves at the Sir Halley.

Ashley Wilson (2), Matt Rose and Jonathan Lockie bagged for the Tulips.

Just behind them in fourth are Sutton Bridge United, who won 3-2 at Wittering. Jake Lally, Matt Eaton and Ben Partridge got the goals.

Moulton Harrox Reserves, meanwhile, are 14th after a 0-0 draw at Baston.

Down in Division Two, Dan Woods helped himself to four goals as Pinchbeck United Reserves smashed Parkway Eagles 7-0.

Ricky Dickinson, Ash Murrell and Lee Whittmee also score to help secure their first win of the season.

There was also a 2-1 win for Crowland Town Reserves at Peterborough PL United.

In Division Four, Tydd St Mary Reserves stormed to a 3-0 victory at Netherton United B. Matthew Clayden, Nick Ainslie and Joe Johnson scored to secure the points.

Sutton Bridge United Reserves earned a fine 4-2 home success over Warboys Town Reserves as Lewis Alford, Raymond Points, Adam Thompson and Matthew Stancer all found the net.

Elsewhere, Thomas Coaten’s goal couldn’t stop Holbeach Bank slipping to a 3-1 home defeat against FC Peterborough.

There was also a loss for Long Sutton Athletic Reserves, who were edged out 1-0 by hosts Parkside.
