Golf round-up: Five-star Tydd success for Hicks, Jacques and Lord victorious at Gedney Hill

Andy Hicks raced to a five-shot victory in Tydd St Giles Golf Club’s June Medal event.

His score of 64 was enough to top the Division One category, with Simon Smith second on 69.

The other divisional winners were Terry Pease, who shot a 66 in Division Two, and Paul Philpott, whose 65 was the best score on offer in Division Three.

Colin Jacques and Christine Lord took the two titles at Gedney Hill Golf Club’s 13th St Barnabas Hospice Charity competition.

Jacques (48 points) saw off David Lord (44 points) and David Kruse (43 points) in the men’s competition, while Lord (28 points) saw off Jayne Cowles (25 points) to win the ladies’ event.
