Everything pumpkin could be found in Spalding at the weekend for a festival.
From beautifully carved fruits to painted faces and pantomime characters, there was something for everyone to enjoy in the Market Place.
Organised by South Holland District Council, the annual event is a popular addition to the town calender.
The annual shop window competition run alongside the event was won by The Beauty Room with Flowers ‘n’ Things coming a close second.
The displays were judged by district council chairman Coun Andrew Woolf and Coun Gary Taylor.
“A huge well done and thank-you to all of the businesses that took part in the competition. There were some gorgeous autumnal windows,” said a spokesman.
The festival, on Saturday, also included characters from the Polka Dot pantomimes, a fancy dress competition and Princess Anna from Frozen.
David Bowman Pumpkins supplied fruit for children to use at the festival’s ‘decorating corner’.
A carving team including Jonathan Nicholls, his son Lewis, apprentice Mark, Paul Crewe, Liz and Peter Scott spent hours carving amazing contents for a display, including the angry pumpkins featured on page 13.
