Fun with Paddington

Everybody’s favourite marmalade-eating bear comes to the big screen at the South Holland Centre cinema during February half term.

Paddington Bear has been at the heart of fundraising for Action Medical Research since his creator, Michael Bond, met the charity’s founder, Duncan Guthrie, in 1976.

Spalding’s Action Medical Research committee will be at the centre for some of the screenings of Paddington, to talk about the charity and raise money.

Fundraising events include a household goods auction on March 21, the Midsummer Ball on June 20 and the Christmas Gift Fair on November 9 and 10, all at Springfields Event Centre, Spalding.

The Rutland Round Plod is on July 3 an d on September 11 it’s the Tony Hadley Golf Classic at Peterborough.
