Frozen pitches hit most fixtures

The cold conditions put paid to the majority of sporting fixtures in and around South Holland.
All the rugby and hockey was called off due to frozen pitches while in football, both Spalding United and Pinchbeck United had their scheduled games postponed.
The Knights were able to get some football in as they held a behind closed doors match, playing what the club called an ‘in-house’ friendly with Boston United.
The Knights will be looking for a win when they visit Eastwood in the United Counties Leaguer Premier Division North on Saturday.
After Holbeach United’s game against Downham was called off last week, they visit Swaffham on Saturday in the Thurlow Nunn Division One North.
