Friends reach new heights

Four friends from Spalding have raised over £2,500 by completing the Three Peaks Challenge.

Elliott Lea (23), Connor Lewis (25), Josh Clarke (22) and Jamie Bingham (25) climbed Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon within 24 hours recently.
They were driven around by Conor Price who climbed the final peak in Wales with them.
They completed the challenge to raise money for PAPYRUS having all known someone who has taken their own life at a young age.
The charity provides confidential support and advice to young people struggling with thoughts of suicide, and anyone worried about a young person through their helpline, Hopeline UK.
Elliot, who is a lance corporal for the 23 Parachute Regiment of the Army said: “It was really enjoyable.
“We completed it in 22 hours and 44 minutes and could’ve finished quicker if it weren’t for sitting in standstill traffic for a fair chunk.
“If I were to do it again, I would definitely plan for it to not be a Bank Holiday weekend and potentially even mid week.”
The quartet have raised £2,572 so far.
