Spalding Water Polo Club enjoyed a fine 14-9 win over Milton Keynes in a friendly clash last Tuesday night.

Despite Milton Keynes scoring first, Spalding controlled the first quarter, with goals from Jack Carpenter (2), Gareth Lord and Ed Martin to lead 4-1.
The second quarter was more evenly balanced, with Spalding scoring three to MK’s two. Tim Shields, Steve Rogers and another from Lord got the goals to extend Spalding’s lead to 7-3.
It was a reversal of the score in the third quarter, with MK netting three goals to Spalding’s two from Carpenter and Rogers.
The final quarter was a goal-fest, with eight goals being scored in six minutes and Spalding taking control of the match again, scoring five times courtesy of Lord (2), Carpenter, Rogers and Josh Rowland.
