Free workshops for Spalding arts project

There’s a chance to get involved with a planned artwork for Spalding next weeks.

Transported Arts are working with A&E Collaborative on the community engagement project with is part of the National Lottery funded Spalding Reconnected initiative.
Open workshops on the mural are taking place at Vista Hall, next to Ayscoughfee Hall at 10.30am to 3.30pm on from Monday to Thursday 12 to 15 August.
A Transported spokesman said: “The local public are invited to participate in free workshops with professional artists to learn new skills and to make a section of the mural designed by local artist Robbie King.
“The mural will be later displayed in Spalding and the workshops will be a combination of cyanotypes on fabric, printing, collage, stitch and painting.
“The workshops are open to all ages and there is no need to book, we do advise parental supervision. Shirts can be provided to protect clothing.
“Participants are welcome to attend more than one session.”
