Free course to ensure adults are safeguarded from harm

Free training is being offered to equip people with the skills necessary to ensure they fulfil their obligations to promote the wellbeing of adults and protect them from harm and abuse.

The training – Safeguarding Adults: Everyone’s Responsibility, offered by Lincolnshire Community and Voluntary Service (LCVS), is particularly targeted at anyone who cares for adults especially in a charity or voluntary group.

Marie Chapman, LCVS senior community development and volunteering officer, said: “Whether you’re a carer, a volunteer or paid worker, the courses can help you find out more about how to promote people’s wellbeing and protect them from harm or abuse. This training is particularly useful if you work with or care for adults who need extra support.”

Participants are advised to attend an introductory course before completing the full day session.
