Four defeats in a row for Spalding United after Gresley beating

Spalding United’s poor run of form continued on Monday as they were handed a 3-0 home humbling by a Gresley side that are struggling in Evo-Stik League First Division South’s bottom five.

It’s now four losses on the trot for the promotion-chasing Tulips, who remain fourth in the table, thanks to strikes from Gary Ricketts (pen 32 & 82) and Jordan Ball (57) at the Sir Halley Stewart Playing Field.

The Tulips must now try and stop the rot at Stocksbridge Park Steels on Saturday (3pm).

Report and reaction to follow on Tuesday.
