Fleet was lit up for the festive period

There was plenty of festive frolics in Fleet this year.

They included a competition for who had the best lights in the village won by Jason Winter.

“He was a bit surprised as his wife entered his display without telling him,” organiser Coun Paul Barnes said.  “Thank you to all those who took the trouble to enter this free competition – and although several others impressed with their displays the judges had to concentrate on those who had registered their houses.
“I think Fleet Parish has put on a fantastic display this year and I look forward to seeing what can be done in 2025.”
In the run up to Christmas the village also received a visit from Santa.
“He had quite a long chat with all the children and remembered lots of the letters he had received at the North Pole from them,” Coun Barnes continued. “He said he had such a good time he may visit again next year.”
