Cup kings Spalding Town reached their second ChromaSport Peterborough League final of the season on Saturday.
Already safely in the PFA Junior Cup showpiece, Town roared into the Intermediate Shield final by beating Division Two side Coates Athletic A 5-2 on their own patch.
Martin Sandall inspired Chris Page’s side with a hat-trick at Feldale Field, while Josh McGuire and Markus Parry also got in on the act.
Peterborough ICA Sports A await in the final after they beat Spalding United Reserves 5-3.
Elsewhere, Moulton Harrox climbed up to fourth in the Premier Division with a 3-0 victory at Riverside. Macauley Grimwood (2) and Ryan Wheeler notched for the in-form boys from Broad Lane.
Crowland Town remain in relegation trouble, though, as Craig Smith’s sole strike earned Stilton United a 1-0 win at Snowden Field.
Also in strife at the wrong end of the table are Long Sutton Athletic in Division One. They lost 4-0 at Ryhall United to stay in the bottom two.
Above them, Moulton Harrox Reserves upset high-flying Ketton 1-0 to move further clear of the drop zone. Ben Allen got the sole goal.
Sutton Bridge United stay seventh after they lost 5-3 at Oundle Town.
In Division Two, Pinchbeck United Reserves enjoyed a fine 4-0 win over Guyhirn at Knight Street.
Liam Lachasseigne (2), Jordan Clow and Ricky Dickinson got the goals.
It wasn’t such a good day for Crowland Town Reserves, though, as they were tonked 5-1 at Oakham United Reserves.
Down in Division Three, Tydd St Mary were handed a 3-0 defeat at Glinton and Northborough as they stay in seventh position.
Relegation-threatened Long Sutton Reserves picked up a potentially priceless 0-0 draw with Warboys Reserves to move a point above the drop zone.
One of those sides they edge ahead of is Sutton Bridge Reserves, who lost 3-2 at home to Bretton North End.
Also in Division Four, Holbeach Bank were dealt a 2-0 home beating by Eye United.
Whaplode Drove surrendered top spot in Division Five after a 1-0 home loss against Ryhall United A slipped to eighth position after a 4-2 home loss against a Parkway Eagles side that were inspired by Jay Handley’s hat-trick.
