Firm says jobs created at new site

A firm says it is looking to create 50 to 60 jobs by opening a new distribution centre in Pinchbeck.

Bedford-based company Dunster House Ltd has taken on the former Karsten site off Enterprise Way.

A spokesman for the company said: “This centre is intended to manage the inflow of finished products, wood and materials from Europe which means creating new jobs in the area with work for warehouse and delivery staff as well as improving service for the local area.

“It is also envisaged to be a manufacturing site as well as its primary function as a central distribution hub to fill their branches.”

Christopher Murphy, the company’s founder, said: “We are always trying to improve our service and this new site will help us dramatically improve our stock holding and our delivery times for the local area.

“We’re excited to see how Spalding can help our business grow even more.”
