Firefighters battling blaze at Pinchbeck property

Firefighters are at the scene of a fire at a bungalow in Pinchbeck this evening (Monday, July 29).

Flames and smoke were seen coming out of the roof of the property in Wardentree Lane around 5.30pm.

Wardentree Lane is now closed outside the property.

At least five fire crews are currently in attendance. One firefighter had an escape after coming down from the roof of the property just before flames started coming through it.

There’s currently no other emergency services at the scene.

Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue said on Tuesday it believed the cause was hot ashes igniting a fence.

A firefighter was on the roof just before the flames came through it.
The road is currently closed.
