Boy (16) charged with attempted murder

A 16-year-old boy has been charged with attempted murder after an incident in Holbeach that left seriously injured someone of the same age.

Lincolnshire Police were called to Spalding Road in Holbeach at 1.52am on Sunday, July 28.

A 16-year-old, who can not be named for legal reasons, appeared at Boston Magistrates Court this morning (Monday, July 29) on the charge.

Police say the person injured remains in hospital.

A spokesman said: “We would politely ask people to respect the families of those involved and not to speculate on the circumstances of this incident while we continue our investigation.
