Festival continues Going Forward

A special all-inclusive music festival has once again been a huge hit.

The Going Forward Festival is held every year and aimed at those with a disability who still want to enjoy live music.

Shoddywaddy, Crossfire, Lauren Porter and a flypast by a Lancaster bomber were among the attractions at South View Primary School in Crowland.

There were also a host of stalls and games on offer at the event put on by volunteers.

Vicki Wright, one of the organisers, said: “The event was yet again a huge success with crowds taking part in activities, dancing and enjoying the music from different brilliant acts despite the rain showers – the weather definitely didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits!

“The event would not have been possible without the support of our local donors (Greencore, Lindum Group and the Spalding Lions Club) and our group of willing volunteers, many of whom attend year on year to support the running of the event on the day – we couldn’t do it without them.”
