There was plenty of celebrations as the bright young things at Spalding High School celebrated excellent A Level results.
Flori and Eliza Margaritescu picked up 3 A*, 4A and a B between them, despite the fact they’ve only been in the British education system for the last two years.
After their mother moved to the country from Romania to work at Boston’s Pilgrim Hospital, the pair had to take GCSE Maths and English on top of their A-Levels, but they stormed it are now both set to study Computer Sciences at university with Flori also set to study Artificial Intelligence.
Another set of sisters, the Wakefield twins, made an entrance with Jemima dressed in a onesie to pick up her two A*s in Arts, English Literature and a distinction* in ICT while sister Annie wore a bright blue wig as she earned Cs in Drama and Theatre Studies, English Literature and Spanish.
The pair are going their separate ways in a month though with Jemima keen author going to University of East Anglia to study creative writer and singer-songwriter guitarist Annie off to the Imperial College of Music and Performance in London.
Friends Laura Gent and Isobel Preece are both taking on food courses after both getting 2 As and a B. Laura is off to Newcastle for Food Science and Isobel Reading to study Food Technology.
Laura said: “I just like the subject and I’m delighted to be able to go to Newcastle to study it.”
It wasn’t all about university, Rosie Parkinson is set to start an apprenticeship with accountancy firm Bulley Davey.
“I’m so happy,” she said.

Headmistress Mrs Michelle Anderson, said: “We are so proud of our Year 13 students.
“This is an excellent set of results and we are all thrilled that the High School students have done so well again this year.
“Our A Level students achieved 58.5 per cent A*-B which is a positive set of results for this year group and the vast majority have secured places at their chosen university.
“Congratulations to all our students on their wonderful achievements and some are worthy of particular mention including the 110 A* and A grades, 204 A*-B grades and all students who achieved a distinction*, distinctionor merit in their BTEC diplomas.
“Our students are progressing on to a number of new opportunities including overseas volunteering, higher apprenticeships and for the majority, university.
“A range of disciplines are being read such as Mechanical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science, Journalism, Microbiology, Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics and Actuarial Science, Vetinery Medicine, Law, Fashion Communication and Promotion, Primary Teaching, Landscape Architecture, American Theatre Arts and Ancient History.
“Our students work incredibly hard and have yet again been rewarded with tremendously pleasing results at A Level this year.
“This is a testament to their commitment and hard work alongside the support of their parents and carers and the dedication of our experienced staff.
