Ever-impressive Spalding Gymnastics Academy girls grab medals galore

The girls from Spalding Gymnastics Academy were back on the podium at the recent County Team Competition held at their Cradge Bank base.

Leading the way for the talented young guns were the Level 4 team of Lily Thompson, Lucia Walker, Miah Farrell and Millie Weller.

They won the overall Level 4 Team Shield to grab a well-deserved haul of gold medals.

In the Level 3 section, Spalding gymnasts Amy Loveridge, Dulcie Baker and Ruby Vertuccio came second to secure a spree of silver medals.

More medals followed in the Level 2 section, as the team of Emma Goodliffe, Serena Leadbeater and Hannah Lawrence finished third to clinch the bronze.

A Spalding spokesman said: “It was an excellent way for all gymnasts taking part to finish the year off. We’re now looking forward to next year’s county competitions. Well done to everyone at what was a very large competition.”

Beginners sessions at Cradge Bank are on October 27, 28 and 29 (9am-noon), with advanced sessions on October 27, 28, 29 and 30 (1pm-4pm).
