Electric cars for green initiative

A Spalding developer is looking to reduce its carbon footprint with the introduction of a fleet of electric vehicles.

Ashwood Homes have recently taken delivery of four Nissan Leaf cars with ten more to follow.

A spokesman for Ashwood Homes said: “As a growing company we are keen to look at our impact on the environment and the places we build.

“To kick-start this green initiative we are beginning the introduction of electric vehicles to the business.

“The first four brand new Nissan Leafs have arrived for our site managers with the rest of the fleet being delivered over the coming months.

“At our Spalding head office we will be installing electric charging points for our fleet and any visitors.

“We have already installed solar panels to our head office and are keen to find new ways to help reduce our carbon footprint.”
