Economy under spotlight at Spalding business club meeting

The region’s economy will come under the spotlight at the next Spalding Business Club event.

The Bank of England’s agent for the East Midlands, Alastair Cunningham, will address a crowd of local business leaders at the Spalding Business Club monthly meeting on October 1.
The event, at Bookmark, The Crescent, Spalding, is sponsored by Chartered Accountants, Moore Thompson.
During his open discussion he will talk about the local economy and answer questions from those in attendance, to provide them with a deeper insight about issues in the region.
Those who attend will be able to enjoy a free breakfast and refreshments thanks to the support of Moore Thompson, which has offices in Spalding, Wisbech and Market Deeping.
Ken Maggs, a partner at Moore Thompson and chairman of the Spalding Business Club, said: “This event will offer local businesses a unique insight into the local economy allowing them to better prepare themselves for any opportunities that may lay ahead.
“Alastair is an expert in the region’s economy and I know that many local businesses are looking forward to hearing from him.
“It will also allow local businesses the opportunity to express their views to the Bank of England on the local economy.”
