Eco-class grows at school

Reception pupils at Whaplode C of E Primary School have a brand new classroom and play area.

The £180,000 investment by the Lincoln Anglican Academy Trust, sees an eco-classroom complete with LED lights, large windows and ‘sun tubes’ in the roof to maximise natural light.

The outdoor area boasts shelters, matrix, outside kitchen and the development was officially opened by Coun Paul Redgate, chairman of South Holland District Council.

“We are delighted with our new eco-classroom,” said executive headteacher Alison Flack.
