Earth keeps leaders’ feet on ground

Two goals from Declan Earth kept the GCE Hire Peterborough League title race wide open. That was enough to keep Moulton Harrox within two points of leaders Netherton United as they held them to a 2-2 draw.
It was good news for derby rivals Crowland Town too. They sit a point off the top after Harry Tidswell grabbed a hat-trick in their 4-0 win at Whittlesey Athletic Reserves, with Archie Rickards also netting.
In Division One, Long Sutton Athletic remain well placed for promotion after Jordan Keeble’s goal earned them a 1-0 win at ICA Sports.
A thrilling local derby in Division Two went the way of South Lincolnshire Swifts, after they twice trailled to Tydd. Dan Cassidy put the visitors ahead and Marcus Cundy restored their advantage after Keane Slayven had equalised.
Will Smith made it 2-2 and substitute Tom Tyler grabbed a 73rd-minute winner. Tydd substitute Stanford Bedwell-Byatt was sent off in the last minute.
