Pinchbeck United manager Ian Dunn says his side have to do the basics better after two draws last week.
The Knights were held 2-2 against 10 man Eynesbury on Saturday and 1-1 at Peterborough Northern Star on Tuesday night.
They haven’t lost too much ground on those around them who also picked up draws.
But Dunn is after more from his side ahead of a third away game in a row at Desborough on Saturday.
“We haven’t played particularly well in both games,” he said. “Eynesbury is always a tough place to go and you would often take a point there.
“On Tuesday night we didn’t get going in the first half.
“We did create a good number of chances but we didn’t work the keeper enough, so it was frustrating.
“We’ve got a cup final to play for and we’ve had a long, good run only losing one in the last 17.
“We’ve still got the chance of a third or fourth place finish in our first season in the league as well as the cup so there’s plenty still to play for.
“The basics have got to be better, particularly when you go to a place like Desborough.”
Andrew Tidswell was unavailable at Peterborough but will return this weekend. However Tony Edwards picked up a knee injury and will miss Saturday’s game.
Dunn continued: “Desborough is always a tough game, regardless of the league position.
“We have to make sure we up our performances from the previous two games.”
