Drugs found but no arrest in Holbeach raid

A “large quantity” of class A and B drugs has been found by police in Holbeach following “months of hard work” by Lincolnshire Police and Holbeach residents.

On Friday, May 19, police found class A and B drugs after executing a search warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act at an address in Holbeach, with support from Lincolnshire Police Dog Section, whose PD Charlie found the drugs.

The same day, Lincolnshire Police said on social media that an arrest was yet to be made. “Due to circumstances beyond our control the suspect was not arrested at the time but will be spoken to at a later date.”

Inspector Gareth Boxall said this week the investigation is continuing but praised the work of his force.

He said: “This search was as a result of months of hard work by the local Neighbourhood Policing Team who have painstakingly built up the information which allowed for this warrant to be obtained.

“I am also particularly grateful for the support of local residents in Holbeach; I understand that it can sometimes seem like these problems take a long time to address but with time and effort we have been able to work with the local community to get to this point.

“I encourage anyone concerned about drug related issues in the area to contact your local policing team directly or anonymously through CrimeStoppers on 0800 555 111.”
