A 51-year-old driver was involved in a traffic collision just two weeks before his driving ban was due to end, a court has heard.
Graham Walpole of Main Road, Quadring admitted driving while disqualified when he appeared at Boston Magistrates Court.
Prosecuting, Daniel Pietryka said police attended a road traffic collision in High Street, Gosberton at 6pm on July 6 and discovered that one of the drivers, Walpole, was uninsured and disqualified.
He said Walpole admitted this to the officers and said he had only two weeks to go on his driving ban.
The court heard that Walpole was banned under the totting up procedure for six months and the ban would have ended on July 22.
Mitigating, Michael Alexander said Walpole waited for the officers and immediately admitted what he had done.
He said Walpole had ‘considerable issues’ and was the carer of three people in his household.
Walpole was given a further three month driving ban and was fined £200 and ordered to pay a total of £419 in court costs and charges.
