Donington are top of the billiards league

Donington are top of the Spalding and District Billiards League having won four of the five matches played so far.
They beat third placed Bourne Pyramid B 5-2 on Monday night.
Wins from Mick Pearl (R70) and Ben Wrigglesworth (R20) gave them the victory.
Darrell Read (R40) got the points for Pyramid, a 37 break helping him to a win over Tony Scully (R40).
Consti A are in second despite losing 5-2 to Bourne SC.
Brothers Elliott (R50) and Lester Gaunt (scr) were the winners for Bourne, while Alan Hansard (R80) got the win for Consti.
Lester scored breaks of 36, 34 and 27, while Elliott knocked in a 24, 21 and 21.
Bourne are at the bottom of the table but have only played two matches so far.
Holbeach B boosted themselves up the table thanks to a 7-0 win at home at Pyramid A.
Chris Chamberlain (R40), Wayne Forbelets (R50) and Neil Harvey (R50) all won to give Holbeach the whitewash win.
Gosberton A and Gosberton B are also close to the bottom of the table, despite both winning 5-2 on Monday night.
The A team won away to Consti B, Andy Shepherd (R120) and Malc Dennis (R110) getting the wins.
Steve Spencer (R110) answered back for Consti but it wasn’t enough to avoid defeat.
They now sit in seventh place in the table.
Gosberton B were at home to Holbeach A.
Marcus Pell (O40) and Shane White (O50) won for them beating Ben Harding (R30) and Mick Cooper (O200) respectively, with Phil Coaten (R70) beating Des Forbes (R40) to take some points for Holbeach A.
It was a night of breaks with White knocking in 49 and 20, Cooper getting 41, 32, 26, 25, 25 and 23, Harding scoring a 25 and 20 and Pell pocketing a 29 and 22.
