Devolution event in area this Saturday

Your opportunity in South Holland to have a say on devolution and an elected mayor for Greater Lincolnshire takes place this weekend.

Lincolnshire County Council is teaming up with North and North Lincolnshire councils to create another tier of local government.
The authorities say it will bring in £24m a year for 30 years as part of the government’s devolution proposals.
The county council has already ruled there will be no public vote on whether it should take place.
Instead the public consultation is taking place online or at a series of events taking place across the county.
There’s only one in South Holland though and it takes place this Saturday at Springfields Events Centre, Spalding, from 11am to 2pm.
