Deadlocks for Knights

A series of missed chances cost Pinchbeck United maximum points as they had to settle for a goalless draw at home to Needham Market Reserves on Saturday.

Flynn Slater, Josh Doran and Harry Cranfield all went close but the relegation-battling visitors hung on for a point.
A swift return to the Sir Halley Stewart Field saw FC Parson Drove the visitors on Tuesday and again neither team troubled the scoresheet in another 0-0 draw.
It leaves the Knights comfortable in mid-table in Division One North of the Thurlow Nunn League, looking to cement a
top-ten finish in their final four games, starting with another home game on Saturday against AFC Sudbury Reserves.
Knights v Needham: Martin, Stevens (Ratley), Gagyi, Melson, Cranfield, Brooks, Howlett (Panton), Doran, Slater, Cullen, Tate (Thorrold). Subs: Barker, Balding. Attendance: 56.
