Darts finalists named

Monday night saw the first competition winners of the year and first set of finalists ahead of finals night at the end of the season for Spalding Darts League.
In Division 1 triples the winners were the Consti A team of Sam Roberts, Chris Fidler and Jack Chilvers who beat the Tigers C triples team of Mark Horspool, Ant Richardson and Duncan Hunt 2-1.
In the final leg Hunt kept finding the treble but Fidler’s power scoring helped the Consti trio. At the business end of the leg the were some pressure darts but Consti held their nerve and took the win and the title.
On to Division 2 and it was an all Green Dragon final with the trio of Dan Martin, Chris Colwell and Jimmy Tenno winning against Scott Baldwin, Simon Horton and Tim Hester.
In Division 3 Holbeach United Services won the final against Lincoln B. The winning trio was Chris Blakey, Mike Ocock and Stu Stephens who beat Mark Mckay, Andy Palmer and Vlad Fomkinas.
Next were the qualifiers for finals night.
The ladies’ competition will be between Jess Cassidy of Punchbowl A and Cambridgeshire county A player from Tigers C Casey Hill.
Hill was also on fine form and partnered with her dad Mark Horspool who qualified in the mixed pairs final against the Green Dragon duo of Jimmy Tenno and Sophie Fountain.
The league now breaks for the Christmas period and going into the New Year top of Division 1 is Consti A however Tigers C are level on points with a game in hand.
Division 2 runaway leaders are Ye Olde Abbey and Division 3 is topped by Holbeach Services.
