County silver for Megan at latest Tommy Clay Track and Field Development Series meet

Boston and District Athletics Club’s South Holland athletes impressed at the latest round of the Turnbull Tommy Clay Track and Field Development Series.

The competitors enjoyed warm and still weather conditions – giving them every opportunity to record good late summer season performances.

In the Lincolnshire under-15 girls’ triple jump championship (included in the programme) Megan Reid won the silver with a leap measuring 7.99m. She also won the under-15 girls’ discus competition with a throw of 17.11m and finished fourth in the 100m in 16.3secs.

At under-11 level, Jack Clark-Atkins won both the cricket ball throw with a distance of 32.29m and the long jump with a leap measuring 3.31m, while placing fourth in the mixed 600m (2.11.6mins).

Issy Reid was the runner-up in both long jump (3.29m) and cricket ball throw (16.69m) and also fifth in the 80m (14.9 secs).

Under-9 girl Mia Clark-Atkins clocked 17.1 secs in the 80m, 9.52m in the cricket ball throw and 2.26m. in the long jump.

Meanwhile, veteran Colin Pattison managed an 18.71m discus throw.
