Consti A’s 29-match unbeaten Spalding League run is over.
Drayman’s Arms A beat them 5-4 after storming into a 3-0 lead by winning all the pairs games.
Consti fought back with wins from Jason Vines, Chris Fidler and Sam Roberts.
Roberts had a 180 and an 18-dart leg in his victory but wins for Phil Newton and Richard Cooper took the game for Drayman’s.
Rose and Crown A are hot on their heels and beat their C team 5-4. Ant Richardson hit a 180 in his game to put the C team 4-3 up with two games to go. However, Dan Carnell and Adam Godfrey won to take victory.
Royal Mail Cart beat Ye Olde Abbey 7-2 with Paul Faulkner hitting an 18-dart leg and had seven scores of 100 or more in his win over Stan Browning.
Consti D beat Drayman’s B 6-3, with Ady Smith having a 106 checkout.
Lincoln Arms A won a close encounter against Green Dragon A. Lincoln’s captain Luke Rhodes went on last and hit an 18-dart leg to hold his nerve and take the win for Lincoln. Tony Spinks had an 18-dart leg in his win over Darren Templeman.
Pinchbeck FC A took a big step to the Division Two title by beating Holbeach Services A 5-4. John Mackenzie got the final win for Pinchbeck, beating Chris Chamberlain. Holbeach will be kicking themselves after being 4-1 up.
Lincoln Arms B beat Five Bells 5-4, whose Travis Stapleton hit a maximum 180. Lincoln were behind with two games to go but wins for Ian Tilley and John Charlton took the game.
Mulberry’s also won a tight game 5-4 with Wigs Harrison going on last and winning 2-0, which included a 108 checkout to take the points. Michael Baker had a 180 in his win.
Consti E remain second after beating Riverside A 6-3.
Riverside B also won 6-3. Player of the night was Ryan Coddington who hit a 112 checkout and had an 18-dart leg in the pairs with Jordan Philpott.
In Division Three, Moulton Harrox beat Spalding Services 9-0.
Pinchbeck FC C had a double header with Riverside C, with Pinchbeck winning 6-3 and 7-2. Highlights of the two games were a 180 and a 116 checkout for Gary Coomes. He paired with Liam Dawson and had a 17-dart leg.
Dawson was also on form and hit an 18-dart leg while Archie Austen hit a 180 in his singles game.
