Consti C pip Services B to second spot

The final scheduled week of the Crowson Volkswagen Pinchbeck & District Winter Darts League season saw Consti Club C claim runners-up spot in Division A with a 6-3 home win over Drayman’s Arms B.

Singles wins from Ted Howling, Jordan Phillpott, Jacob Herd and Paul Faulkner decided matters. Herd had a 17-dart leg in his 2-0 singles win over Kev Newton. For the Drayman’s, Phil Newton had a 17-dart leg in his 2-0 win against Josh Faulkner.
Services Club B needed to better the Consti score to take second place but could only manage a 5-4 win at Consti Club B. Tony Clark and Ben Chester had a 16-dart leg in their pairs game and Ady Smith hit a 180 in his singles win, helping him to an 18-dart leg for the Services. Matt Broderick hit his third 180 of the season for the Consti in his singles win.
Lincoln Arms D suffered a 6-3 home defeat to Green Dragon A. PDC player Scott Williams starred for the Dragon with 16 and 18-dart legs in his 2-0 singles win and a 18-dart leg with partner Kiaran Grove in their pairs win. Victories in the last three singles for Lincoln’s Andy Palmer, Tony Spinks and Stacey Banister saved a bigger loss.
Royal Mail Cart had a 6-3 win at Pinchbeck FC A. Josh Ford threw an 18-dart leg for Mail Cart.
Champions Lincoln Arms A were awarded a 6-0 walkover against Drayman’s Arms B in their outstanding fixture to complete an unbeaten season at the top.

Nick Collins had a 17-dart leg in his 2-0 win over Paul Merrill for the D team.
