Consti A remain unbeaten at the top

Consti A remain unbeaten and top of Division One in the Spalding Darts League after beating Lincoln Arms A 6-3.

Simon Hill and Nick Moyses both hit 180s in their wins for each team and Sam Roberts had a 14-dart leg in beating Tony Spinks.

The player of the night was Cambridgeshire county player Chris Fidler who had a 180 and a 15-dart leg and hit a 120 checkout in his singles. This was surpassed by his 151 checkout in the pairs when the Lincoln Arms double were sat on a double to win the game.

Rose and Crown C remain hot on Consti’s heels and beat Ye Olde Abbey 6-3.

Rose and Crown went 3-1 up and wins for JJ Bird and Scott Lawrence showed a glimmer of hope but victories for Duncan Hunt, Kev Aldhouse and Monty Bunn sealed the victory.

Logan Goddard and Dean Parker both hit maximums and Ant Richardson had a nice 16-dart leg in his win over Dave Norbury.

Elsewhere Royal Mail Cart had a 5-4 win over Drayman’s A, Jacob Herd hitting a 17-dart leg in the deciding game to beat Josh Grainger.

Richard Cooper hit an 18-dart leg in his win for the Drayman’s and Steve Urch and Kev Newton both hit their second 180s of the season.

Green Dragon must have thought they had it won when going 4-2 up against Consti D but John Robinson and

Steve Rawding both won to set up a last game decided between Ady Smith and Darren Templeman.

Smith held his nerve and came out the victor with a 2-0 win.

Rose and Crown A had a convincing 8-1 win against struggling Drayman’s B, Connor Hughes was the only winner for the Drayman’s.

The star players were Rose and Crown’s Gary Mace and Finlay Clayton. They hit a 15-dart leg in the pairs, Clayton followed this up with an 18-dart leg and a 102 checkout but Mace had the best leg of the match hitting a 14-dart leg in his win over Chris Howling.

Pinchbeck FC A brushed aside their loss in the cup and won 6-3 away at Five Bells to remain top of Division Two.

Pinchbeck players were on form and saw Will Cliff score a maximum, Harvey Elderkin had a nice 129 checkout and Cliff teamed up with Connor McKenzie to have a 15-dart leg in pairs, not to be out done Jake Hinta-Penta had a 17-dart leg in his win against Andy Mason.

Consti E and Holbeach Services A are chasing Pinchbeck.

Consti beat Pinchbeck FC B 6-3, and Holbeach had a great 9-0 win over Riverside A.

Mulberry’s had a tight game against Lincoln Arms B and won 5-4, Lincoln’s new signing Alex Ward got off to winning ways.

In the pairs Nathan Sage and Stu Seaton hit a 17-dart leg and Reece Winkley his own 17-dart leg in his win against Vlad Fomkinas.

The points were sealed for Mulberry’s by Wigs Harrison who beat Andy Palmer.

In another close game, Riverside B beat Holbeach Services B 5-4.

Lee Butler had a 100 checkout for Riverside and Josh Andrew won the all-important game for Riverside to take the victory.

Green Dragon B maintain their 100 per cent record in Division Three and beat Tigers A 7-2 with Callum Day hitting a max in his win over Bradley Martin.

Martin Weed had a 108 checkout for Tigers but couldn’t manage to beat Adam Ledger, losing out 2-1.

Two new teams are chasing Green Dragon B, one of these being Punchbowl who beat Drayman’s C 6-3, and Pinchbeck FC C beat Moulton Harrox 5-4.

McKenzie Foster went on last for Pinchbeck and beat Mark Jones to get the victory.

Ashley Brown had a nice 18-dart leg in his win over Jack Haunch.

Riverside C beat Tigers B 7-2 which produced two 180s thanks to Nick Quantrill and Andy Taylor.

Daniel Payet had a 102 checkout in his win against Tyler Collis.

The other game on the night was the Pied Calf derby with the B team winning 6-3 thanks to singles wins by Wayne Foster, Aaron Barns, Russ Kirk and Tom Hornby.
