In Division 1 of the Spalding Darts League, Consti A edged a 5-4 win against their D team to remain unbeaten at the top of the league.
The D team went 2-1 up after the pairs but Jason Vines, Chris Fidler and Sam Roberts all won to put the A team in pole position.
Captain Kieran Bowman held his nerve to beat John Robinson 2-1 to take victory for his team. In the pairs Fidler had back-to-back 180s.
Royal Mail Cart edged a 5-4 win against Lincoln Arms A. Lincoln started the better going 2-1 up and then wins for Jacob Herd, Josh Faulkner and Harry Faulkner turned the tie.
Josh Faulkner had a great game hitting a maximum 180 and checking out 129. Jacob Herd had a 126 checkout in his victory over Harry Walsh. Stu Page had a 180 but lost out to Steve Stancer who hit his own maximum.
This put the score line at 4-3 to Mail Cart and Jimmy Robinson beat Tony Spinks to take the points for the Mail Cart.
Green Dragon A had an easier win with a 6-3 against Draymans’ B.
Player of the night was Mick Holstead who hit a maximum and had a 14-dart leg in the pairs with Ben Laud. Chris Howling had a nice 18-dart leg in his win over Darren Templeman.
Rose and Crown C won 5-4 but had the match sewn up with two games to go.
Young guns Ant Richardson and Logan Goddard both had a good night, teaming up and having a 17-dart leg in pairs.
Goddard managed a 16 in the singles and Richardson had a 125 checkout and a 18-dart leg. Drayman’s captain Kev Newton had a 16-dart leg of his own in his victory.
Rose and Crown A had a good 7-2 win against Ye Olde Abbey. Finlay Clayton was in fine form in his first game in the league hitting a maximum 180, a 16-dart leg and teamed up with Gary Mace to have a 14-dart leg in the pairs.
Pinchbeck FC A remain unbeaten and had a lovely 7-2 win against Mulberrys Bar.
Captain Tom Elderkin had a 15-dart leg and a maximum 180 in his win against Wigs Harrison. Connor McKenzie and Will Cliff had a nice 17-dart leg in their pairs victory.Mulberrys’ sole singles win came from Stu Seaton who beat Andy Mason.
Five Bells edged a tight 5-4 win against Riverside A.
Tom Semper went on last and won 2-1 against Kieran Twitchen to take the victory.
Pinchbeck FC had a good 7-2 win against Holbeach Services B.
Captain Ant Norman had a 18-dart leg in his win over Chris O’Leary and Jamie McHugh partnered Robin Williams to hit their own 18-dart leg.
Riverside B beat Lincoln Arms B 6-3 and won five of the six singles games.
Vlad Fomkinas won Lincoln Arms’ only singles game.
Consti E and Holbeach Services A have both started very well this season so their game was always one to watch out for.
Consti E won the game but did things the hard way. Holbeach were 4-2 up only needing one game out of the final three but Mick Atkin, Connor Newton and Mark Dixon all won their games to take the points for the Consti to move second in the league.
Green Dragon B maintain their 100 per cent record in Division three and beat Tigers B 5-4 with Dan Martin going on to get the winning point for the Dragon.
The young team at the Punchbowl are enjoying their first season in the league and beat Tigers A 6-3. Cole Elrick had a 18-dart leg in his win and Derrie Maxwell checked out 101 on the night. Martin Weed from the Tigers had a maximum 180 in the pairs.
Pinchbeck FC C had a good 7-2 win against Pied Calf A. Pied had a 102 checkout thanks to Ben Killingsworth.
Drayman’s C won 7-2 against Pied Calf B winning five of the six singles games.
Final game of the night in Division 3 was a 5-4 win for Riverside C against Moulton Harrox. Moulton were 4-3 up with two games to go and only needed one point but Chris Scotney and Archie Austen both won to take the spoils.
