Club spruces up its new home

Members of Spalding Rugby Club recently planted trees and shrubs generously donated by Baytree Garden Centre on their new site alongside the A16 Peterborough road.

When their Centenary 2023-24 season starts in September, all club matches will be played at the roadside venue – the senior sides joining the mini and junior sections which have been using the pitches for the last six years.
The club, founded in 1923, played its last first team home game on the SGS Memorial Fields last Saturday against Boston (see sport) will now be playing all of its home fixtures on a ground that it owns for the first time in its history.
