Clean up day ahead of opening

Residents are set to clean up Moulton Park on Saturday (March 22) ahead of it opening up to the public this spring.

The management committee was delighted when more than 150 people turned up at a recent meeting to discuss its opening.
It follows Moulton Park being purchased by the John and Maureen Biggadike Foundation to open it to the public for the first time in decades.

More information can be found on the newly set up Moulton Park Lincolnshire group on Facebook or follow the committee on Instagram at Moulton Park Lincs.
At the recent meeting, the committee members spoke about the options surrounding its plans.
They outlined the necessary planning conditions that must be met before the park can officially open including the installation of a car park, secured access for vehicles, a designated pedestrian access point near the village, picnic benches, litter bins, and bird and bat boxes.
Residents had the opportunity to review the proposed park layout, along with plans submitted by Moulton Parish Council for the play equipment set to be installed within the designated play area of the park.
The meeting also provided a way for residents to share their ideas and suggestions for the park’s future development, which will be shaped by fundraising efforts and available grant funding.
A spokesman for the John and Maureen Biggadike Foundation said: “This initiative marks a significant milestone for the residents of Moulton and the surrounding area, ensuring that Moulton Park remains a cherished green space for generations to come.”
