Christmas fun at lights switch on

Spalding started Christmas with a bang as Santa turned on the festive lights.

Crowds packed the town to enjoy the Christmas celebration event.
Organised by the South Holland District Council Communities Team, the event featured a variety of attractions, including a Christmas craft station, and craft and gift stalls offering unique items.
Children were able to meet Tinkerbell and Buddy The Elf, who performed on stage.
Spalding Academy’s rock band, choir, and ukulele club performed, some shops and cafes stayed open for late-night shopping and there was free balloon modelling.
