Charlie moves into her new home

A cat which had it’s life saved by volunteers has moved into a new home.

Charlie was one of several rescued by the RSPCA from a South Holland property a few months ago.

She is so ‘wild’ nobody was able to get close to her to realise she was female until recently, and has been deemed too dangerous for a member of the public to rehome.

The charity believe she only survived by eating other cat bodies and is described as ‘like a tiger’.

As a result she faced being put down, but Jan Bryant at The Lodge Cattery in Pode Hole where Charlie is being nursed back to health didn’t want to do that.

Thanks to two anonymous donations Tim Langford of TJ Landscapes built a pen big enough for Charlie to live her life.

“I’ve put in loads of shelves for her so she can a full lap of the pen and she doesn’t event have to go on the floor,” said Tim.

Jan, who previously had said she ‘can’t give up on any cat’ added: “Thank you to everyone who has helped make this possible.

“The other two that came in with Charlie are doing brilliantly, are playing together and we’ll look to rehome them soon.”
