Charity looking for volunteers

A Spalding charity is on the look out for volunteers to help its charity furniture outlet.

The Meadows puts on day sessions in Spalding in a bid to provide activities and company for those who may otherwise be on their own.
One of the ways it raises funds is through its second hand furniture store at The Flaxmill in Pinchbeck.
Run by Richard Walmsley and his team of volunteers, it collects for free and then sells quality reused furniture.
Maisie Wenham of The Meadows’ management team said: “Richard is often very busy out on deliveries and collections and is unable to man the unit himself, which is why we are so lucky to have the volunteers we have who help.
“We are looking for some more kind volunteers to come forward and offer even just a few hours of their time to make sure someone is at the unit within its opening hours.”
The furniture recycling unit is open Monday to Thursday 9.30am until 3.30pm.
If you think you may be interested in helping out, or have any further furniture enquiries, please call Richard on 07946 837133.
