Charges following incident Easter Sunday incidents in Whaplode

A 48-year-old man has appeared in court on a host of charges including burglary of a dwelling with attempted violence, possessing a knife in a public place and attempted strangulation.

Police say it relates to a report of a burglary taking place at Sandringham Close in Whaplode at 10.11pm on Sunday, April 20.
A second call to police was made six minutes later following a non-injury road traffic collision on Mill Lane in the village.
David Francois-Barnshaw, of Balmoral Way, Holbeach, has also been charged with driving without due care and attention and failing to co-operate with police attempting tests.
