Chappell’s there and back first

A course change due to road works brought the Spalding Cycling Club’s 10 mile time trial back to the Delph’s straight out and back course.

#Fourteen riders took to the course and it was Matt Chappell who claimed top spot, taking victory in 22mins 14secs, leading home Dan Warner less than a minute behind, 23:12.

Nigel Swepson was closer still, rounding out the podium in 23:20.

Josh Dixon smashed the road bike category, winning win 25:06, which was good enough for fifth place overall.

Jacob Booth switched out his usual TT bike this week and rode a strong ride to claim second place in the road bike category and fast-improving George Chappell claimed third place.#

Evgeniya Brand dominated the women’s class with her time of 25:27 leaving her seventh overall ahead of Samantha Briffett.
