Champion effort at finals

The climax of the Crowson Volkswagen Pinchbeck & District Winter League took place at the Services Club, Spalding, for the annual finals evening.

A packed programme saw every trophy in both divisions decided.

The H&H Cup final was an all-Division B clash between champions Kirton Leisure and runners-up Consti Z. After leading 2–1 in the pairs, Kirton Leisure pushed on to win 6-3, with singles wins from Jamie Clark, Ashley Brown, Mark Sellers and Craig Spiller.

In the Division B Triples final, Lincoln Arms (2) defeated Consti Z (2) 2-0 thanks to the trio of Tony Brown, Trev Wright and Steve Doades. In the Division A final, Royal Mail Cart (1) edged out Lincoln Arms A (2) 2-1, with Chris Fidler, Jack Chilvers and Ben Connell taking the honours.

The Division B Pairs finalists were Harry Tucker and Callum Day (Green Dragon Z) and John Harris and Callum Ward (Consti Club Z), who advanced at the expense of Josh Burton and Emma Tickner and Dave Banister and Steve Doades.

In Division A, Jacob Herd and Harry Faulkner (Consti Club C) and Josh Ford and Stu Page (Royal Mail Cart) went through, beating Chris Fidler and Jack Chilvers and Steve Stancer and Simon Hill.

The Knockout Cup final saw league runners-up Royal Mail Cart take on Services Club B. Mail Cart raced into a 3-0 lead after the pairs, with singles wins from Jason Vines and Jack Chilvers sealing the trophy. The only bright moment for Services came from Jonny Pell, who beat Ash Allen in the singles.

The first of the individual finals was the Ladies Singles final, where Lacie Brookin (Royal Mail Cart) defeated the experienced Sharon Barnard (Services Club B) 2-1.

In the Captains’ final, Steve Stancer of league-winning Lincoln Arms A claimed a 2-0 win over Paul Faulkner (Consti Club C).

The Mixed Pairs final saw Claire Brookin and Simon Hill (Lincoln Arms A) beat Lacie Brookin and Ash Allen (Royal Mail Cart) 2-0.

The Division B Pairs final saw Harry Tucker and Callum Day (Green Dragon Z) beat John Harris and Callum Ward (Consti Club Z) 2-1. In Division A, Jacob Herd and Harry Faulkner (Consti Club C) defeated Josh Ford and Stu Page (Royal Mail Cart) 2-0.

The Division B Singles semi-finals saw Josh Burton (PFC C) and Callum Day (Green Dragon Z) progress, with John Robinson, Brendan Clark bowing out. In Division A, Sam Roberts (Lincoln Arms A) and Connor MacKenzie (PFC B) reached the final, defeating Scott Lawrence and Ben Connell.

The Division B final saw Day edge out Burton 2-1, with the Division A final seeing a high-quality contest between Roberts and Connor MacKenzie. In a fitting finale, Roberts claimed a 3-1 victory, producing excellent 18 and 15 dart legs, while MacKenzie replied with a superb 14-dart leg.
