Centre’s fundraiser sparks money for NHS

The annual fireworks extravaganza at Springfields went off with a big bang once again.

And the sold-out event raised thousands of pounds towards the NHS in Lincolnshire.
The year’s the expertly-choreographed performance celebrated 75-years of the NHS and was hailed as one of Springfield’s biggest displays ever.
A range of health-related chart toppers formed the playlist, which paid homage to medical professionals and staff who have been integral to the NHS for seven and a half decades.
The fireworks also coincided with the beginning of Christmas Late Night Shopping at Springfields, which is now open until 9pm on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays through to December 22.
Springfields representative Adam Whittaker said: “We have received fantastic feedback from those who attended, saying the performance was emotive and put smiles on many faces.
“We are thankful to everyone who has been involved and a special mention to the RAF Air Cadets who have worked with us for over 10 years.
“Whilst we did experience some drizzle on the night, this didn’t dampen the spirit of what was another amazing fireworks night here at Springfields, in what was a heartfelt tribute to the NHS and in particular the Johnson Community Hospital.”
