Cathedral of Fens gets ready for flower festival

A village church dubbed the Cathedral of the Fens is gearing up for its 49th flower festival next month.
Thursday, July 23, will see the start of the event at Gedney Church, where arrangements will be in the theme of Living with History.
It takes two days and more than 70 arrangers to prepare the church for the hugely popular event, which will also boast various stalls selling cakes, plants, local produce, bric a brac and books.
The festival will run until Sunday, July 26, and will be open each day from 10am.
It concludes with a Songs of Praise service at 6.30pm on Sunday evening.
The church has free parking, disabled access and admission is free.
