Captain Faulkner excels as Lincoln Arms A stretch lead

Leaders Lincoln Arms A took advantage of Royal Mail Cart and Tigers Club not playing to extend their lead in the Dewhursts Trophies Pinchbeck & District Summer League with a 15-12 win at Consti Club C.
Lincoln raced into an 11-3 lead after the first singles before 2-1 wins for Jacob Herd, Jack Morton, Josh Faulkner and Jordan Philpott narrowed the gap. Lincoln captain John Charlton then beat Paul Faulkner 2-1 to secure victory. Paul Blow and Steve Stancer produced a 17-dart leg in their pairs for Lincoln, while Philpott also hit a 17-dart leg in his singles win for Consti.
Green Dragon A claimed a 14-13 win at Services Club B. The match went down to the final singles, where Services’ Ady Smith took a 2-0 lead over Chris Newman to level the overall score at 13-13, only for Newman to take the deciding leg and the win. Kiaran Grove had hit a superb 147 checkout in the pairs to land a 15-dart leg with partner Callum Templeman, and Sean Trafford struck a 180 for the Dragon.
In Division B, Lincoln Arms D recorded a massive 25-2 home win over bottom side Drayman’s Arms Q. The visitors’ only legs came from Tom Atkinson and Jason Chilvers in the pairs, and Ian Philpots in the singles. Second-placed Consti Club B remain 28 points behind with a game in hand after a 16-11 win at Drayman’s Arms B, sealed by 3-0 wins in the final two singles from Conor Hughes and Dom Clarke. Phil Newton hit a 106 finish for Drayman’s.
Consti Club Z edged a tight 14-13 home win over Pinchbeck FC A, thanks to 2-1 singles wins in the last four games from Adrian Browne, Mick Atkin, Paul Merrill and John Harris. Tracey Baldwin hit a 180 in her 2-1 win over Callum Ward for the football club side.
Green Dragon Z won 15-12 at home to Consti Club D, with Nick Collins (2-1) and Dean Drage (3-0) providing the key wins for the visitors to keep the scoreline close.
Only one fixture was played in Division C and Green Dragon C came out 16-11 winners at home to Consti Club A. Owen Morrell hit a 118 checkout and Adam Rear produced an 18-dart leg for the Dragon.
