A special needs school has launched a crowd funding campaign to buy a car its students can learn mechanics with.
The Priory School is looking to raise £200 to buy the vehicle from a friend of the school so its Personal Social Development Year 10 pupils can learn key skills by getting it back up to MOT standard and roadworthy. They then hope to sell the car on to raise funds for the school.
Kris Mantle is part of CIT Academies which oversees the running of The Priory.
He said: “We’ve done something similar at The Priory and it’s a great way for these young people to learn these skills.”
