Butters is the Don to take Tydd title

Don Butters scored an impressive 39 points to win Tydd St Giles Golf Club’s annual Rabbits Cup open event.

The RAF Marham ace edged out team-mate Ken White (38 points), with Tydd’s David Truluck taking third with a solid 36 points.

The competition was contested by golfers from around the region with handicaps of 20 and above and concluded with a carvery and presentation of prizes.

  • Seniors’ May Stableford Vouchers competition: Division One: 1st Mike Parker 38pt; 2nd Del Marsh 36pts; 3rd Sid Haxell 34pts.

Division Two: 1st Phil Whitehead 35pts; 2nd Paul Jackson 34pts; 3rd Terry Sambridge 32pts.

Division Three: 1st Steve Skoulding 36pts; 2nd Barry Skinner 34pts; 3rd Dave Morris 33pts.

Division Four: 1st T Hunt 35pts; 2nd Brian Shales 33pts; 3rd Stewart Walker 28pts.
