Business leader needed by Greater Lincolnshire LEP board

The Greater Lincolnshire Local Enterprise Partnership is looking for a business leader from the manufacturing sector to join its board.
The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of and contacts in Greater Lincolnshire and will lead on the LEP’s Manufacturing Sector Plan.
The role is voluntary and will involve around eight meetings per year, lobbying MPs sometimes in London, possibly attending other meetings as a representative of the board and background reading. Travel expenses can be claimed.
The Greater Lincolnshire LEP is a business led partnership between the private and public sector, and was formed in response to a strong desire by the business community and the public sector to ensure that economic interests of the area were properly represented.
Ursula Lidbetter, chairman of the Greater Lincolnshire LEP, said: “Our manufacturing sector delivers a direct economic value to the Greater Lincolnshire economy of £3.4 billion per year, employs approximately 57,000 people and plays a significant part in delivering the future economic growth of the region.
“One of our priorities as a LEP has always been to support our key sectors, of which manufacturing and engineering is one.
“We are championing the development of infrastructure enhancements, and we are supporting existing businesses to develop and grow through access to a skilled labour market, support to innovate and embrace R&D and access to new markets and local supply chains.”
For an informal discussion, contact Kate Storey on 01522 550540.
To apply for the role send a CV and covering letter electronically to [email protected] by Wednesday, September 30.
