Broad appeal for SADOS’ new show

A taste of Broadway is heading to Quadring this Friday and Saturday (August 1 and 2).

Classics from the ‘golden age’ of Broadway are being redone for two special concerts at the group’s new base at St Margaret’s Hall (PE11 4WP).

A spokesman for SADOS said: “Rehearsals are flying by!

“The cast are working hard and we’ve been overwhelmed, impressed, and absolutely delighted with their response.

“Not only have we welcomed new members, but we’ve also seen familiar faces return to be part of the production.

“Featuring songs from the golden age of Broadway, we initially weren’t sure how our modern cast would respond – but they’ve not only embraced the music, they’ve mastered choreography and stagecraft in ways they may not have thought possible.

“Their enthusiasm and talent have brought this show to life in remarkable ways.

“Rehearsals have been intense, but incredibly rewarding. Every session ends with smiles of accomplishment, and a real sense of joy in the room.

“Back to Broadway is a vibrant revue celebrating the golden age of musical theatre, breathing new life into timeless classics from shows like Oklahoma, Sweet Charity, 42nd Street, and many more.

“We can’t wait to share this show with you, our audience.

“Don’t miss out. Come on and be a part of the magic.”
